We identified the traditional patient consenting process could be enhanced

The MedConsent platform was developed to promote better patient consenting and assist with improved patient consenting outcomes.

Our story began when a group of clinicians and health law specialists identified the traditional patient consenting process could be enhanced using a peer-collective, digital approach to create an easy to use online medical consent tool.

This idea evolved into the creation of our independent Australian software product, supported by an Advisory Committee comprised of senior and respected clinicians and patient safety experts.

Our Advisory Committee has clinical representation from specialties, including anaesthetics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and general surgery – all clinical appointees have significant experience in their respective fields, with a number holding senior roles within their Colleges.

The Committee includes a Professor of Patient Safety and Clinical Quality, who – together with noteworthy clinical experience – has a wealth of experience in patient safety in Australia, the United Kingdom, United States, and Asia.

The clinical appointees are joined by a human factors safety specialist on the Committee.
